Emotional Regulation in Action

Executive functioning

Building skills for friendships, communication, confidence, and everyday life.

A small group for adults 18+. Facilitated by Daisy Lee, OTD, under the supervision of Jess Hale, OTR/L.

A cohort runs once there are enough people for one, so nothing here is on a calendar yet. Email Daisy either way and she'll tell you honestly where it stands.

Two ways to take part

On your own

Tell Daisy you're interested and she'll keep you posted as a group forms. If there aren't enough people yet, she'll talk with you about individual sessions in the meantime - the skills are the same either way.

Through an organization

Schools, programs, clinics, and nonprofits can bring the 8 weeks to a group they already have. Daisy will walk through what it would take to run it with your people.

Do you ever feel like...
  • You get overwhelmed easily
  • You overthink social situations
  • Friendships feel difficult to navigate
  • You struggle with confidence
  • Small challenges feel bigger than they should
  • You know what you want to do, but feel stuck
  • Stress impacts school, work, or relationships
  • You're tired of feeling like you're just surviving

You're not alone. Emotional regulation is a skill - and skills can be learned.

What makes this program different

This isn't a lecture. Each week includes:

  • Interactive discussions
  • Real-life role plays
  • Guided activities
  • Personal reflection
  • Practical tools you can use immediately
  • Supportive feedback and coaching

Our goal is helping you apply these skills outside of group - not just learn about them.

How each session works

  1. 1.Check-in and new tool introduction
  2. 2.Introduction of the week's topic
  3. 3.Activity that pertains to the topic
  4. 4.Role play activity
  5. 5.Group discussion
  6. 6.1:1 check-in and discussion
